Engagement Outfit Fridays: Pops of Color

It's Friday, it's Friday *singing*. I hope your week has been amazing :)?
It's hard to say goodbye to summer and the warm sunshine but there's lots to look forward to in Fall and Winter. I especially love the pretty sweaters in bright colors :)
Color is a great way to brighten one's mood and overall look. If you've scheduled your engagement session this Fall or Winter, consider a colorful sweater. Check out these three looks:

Theme Suggestion For The Outfit:
Sweaters can easily be dressed up or down so any engagement theme pretty much works when it comes to sweaters. Check out this session in the woods beautifully photographed by Shannen Norman

Engagement Outfit Fridays: Tights

Happy Friday! It's been a while since I last posted an engagement session outfit suggestion. Well, you'll notice that I've changed it up a bit. From now on, I'll be showcasing 3 looks I adore.

So, today, our look is all about tights. I loooooooove tights. I wear them all Fall and Winter long. I wish I were bold enough to wear them in bright colors too...but sadly, I tend to stick to black, brown and gray...blah, I know!

Anyway, here are today's 3 looks:

Theme Suggestion For The Outfit:
I think tights would be perfect for a stroll-in-the-park engagement session. I totally love the idea of a couple tossing golden leaves and being super adorable. Check out these incredible images by Olivia Leigh Photographie:

Engagement Outfit Fridays - Farm Chic!

Happy Friday my pretties! When I was putting together today's engagement outfit, I made sure to keep it youthful and fun. I had a farm theme in mind. Thus, I would describe the outfit as farm-chic. The soft blush pink skirt is my favorite. Who doesn't love ruffled tulle!?

As soon as I saw the Minnie Mouse t-shirt, I knew today's engagement outfit was going to be relaxed and youthful. I put together some fun accessories to play up the classic t-shirt and shorts look. Photo-shoot theme suggestion/s for this outfit
I think today's outfit would be so perfect for a theme-park engagement shoot. I can totally see two love birds having fun and sharing cotton candy! How adorable would those images be!?
A theme park has the perfect backdrop without spending too much money on props and things. It's also a great place for a shy couple that's worried about what poses to do. You could just relax and play whilst the photographer captures the candid moments.
My head is filled with cutesy pictures of the guy and girl sharing a sundae and throwing popcorn at each other *sigh* :)Take a look at this adorable theme-park engagement session photographed by Ricki Ford.

Engagement Shoot Outfit Fridays! - Pleats

Happy Friday! Today's engagement shoot outfit suggestion is a stunning color-blocked pleated dress. It's a stunner! When I saw it, I  thought I would do something most people don't like...I thought I would do a color-blocked matchy-matchy look...it's an oxymoron, I know.
People are into color blocking right now (which I also love). However, I think if you can pull off a great matchy-matchy combination it can look just as hot. The trick to pulling off the matchy-matchy look is making sure that the pieces you put together look expensive. They don't have to be expensive, they just have to look expensive.
What do you think about the two tone matching in today's outfit?
Oasis v neck dress, $115
Marc by Marc Jacobs wedge heels, £320
Alexander McQueen skull handbag, $2,295
Gucci rose gold jewelry, £495
Post earrings, $180
Miso ring, £8

When I was putting together today's outfit, I envisioned a lovely daytime shoot of a couple being sweet and romantic on their local city streets and grabbing lunch together. I think with the right photographer, you can really captures some amazing moments. Have a look at this engagement session photographed by Jenny Ebert Photography:

Engagement Shoot Outfit Fridays! - Dress Tangerine

It's Friday, it's Friday! I finally got around to doing this week's engagement outfit post. Yay.
Today's outfit is a classy and simple tangerine dress paired with some stunning Tory Burch Casey flat sandals...don't you just love em! When I saw this dress, I immediately thought of a very light and casual engagement session that's not too styled or even themed. I kept thinking an engagement session around grabbing gelato would be ideal. I think it's the bright tangerine color that has me thinking gelato...hehehe. Anyway, here's the classy and simple look for today:

Photo-shoot theme suggestion/s for this outfit
Today's engagement theme suggestion is to do a casual and unthemed session. I think this look is perfect and simple enough for whatever may interest you as a couple. I was thinking grabbing gelato or frozen yoghurt would be a cool engagement session idea for this sort of outfit look.
Check out this laid back yet beautiful engangement session photographed by  26 Merton Road. How lovely!

Engagement Shoot Outfit Fridays! - Texture

Today's outfit is super cute. I saw this great pair of textured shorts and had to make it part of the outfit. I paired it with a long sleeve blouse (it's my rule of thumb that if you wear shorts, you want to be more covered up at the top). The patent leather pumps make this outfit look easy breezy.

Photo-shoot theme suggestion/s for this outfit

Some people wonder what the point is to a styled or themed engagement session. My answer to that is, it's all about fun imaginative play.  It's a moment for the couple to play...imagine...and create the perfect scenario to express their personality as a couple.
Today's outfit would work beautifully for a movie star themed shoot in the city. Check out this engagement session capture by Lesley + Adam photography for your inspiration.

Engagement Shoot Outfit Fridays! - Bold Stripes

Happy Friday!!! Today's outfit is inspired by Paris. The dress has bold stripes and a flattering cut that suits many body shapes. At first I thought of pairing it with lovely ballet flats, but decided to take it up an notch and paired it with some stunning black pumps. You see, that's what I love about shoes; they're the one accessory that quickly determines how dressed up you are.

Photo-shoot theme suggestion/s for this outfit
The outfit is inspired by a Parisian themed engagement shoot. A Parisian theme = dressed up. I blame the everyday gorgeous Parisian women for that :) Check out this Parisian photo-shoot by One and Only Paris Photography

Engagement Shoot Outfit Fridays! - Blushing Beach

Today's outfit is fun! As soon as I saw this lovely blush pink bathing suit, I knew how I wanted to style it. I immediately thought of cute sunglasses, interesting textured jewelry, a lovely bright colored beach tote, and a huge floppy sun hat! I sort of channeled Audrey Hepburn as I put together this look and I think it turned out beautifully. Although it may seem impractical to pair a bathing suit with jewelry, remember that this is for a photo shoot not actual swimming.

Photo-shoot theme suggestion/s for this outfit
The outfit is inspired by this amazing vintage themed beach engagement shoot beautifully captured by Sarah E. Evans Photography. Don't you just want to grab your bathing suit and head off to the beach right now? I do!
