Engagement Outfit Fridays: Cream and 2 Sugars

Today's engagement outfit and session suggestion is solely inspired by the freezing temperatures we've been experiencing in Toronto lately. All I kept thinking, for today's post, is a couple cozied up in bed with a warm cup of tea or coffee. I think it would make for an adorable engagement session that is relaxed, romantic, and super cute. So today's outfit suggestion is, cozy winter socks...yessss!

 Theme Suggestion For The Outfit:

A couple snuggling and having breakfast in bed would be the ideal winter engagement session for cozy winter socks. Her in his shirt and warm socks; and he in boxers and a scarf...ah...I love it. It's seriously budget friendly and super warm if you are planning on shooting your engagement session this winter. Take a look at these pictures for inspiration in planning a cozy engagement session:

Common Elements

Hi dolls. Today's blog post is about how you can highlight / repeat a wedding element or wedding theme through-out your wedding. Great ways to incorporate them is in your: stationery, linens, cake, and even your veil. I created these boards to show you veils that tie in nicely to a similar design theme in wedding cakes. Be creative and have fun with it :)

Let's Rock 2014!

Happy New Year my darlings!! 2013 was an awesome year for me. I managed to move my business from a home based business into a studio downtown Toronto...yay! I also had the awesome pleasure of working with wonderful vendors and brides in 2013. My business grew last year and I hope with your continued support and love I can continue to take the Posh Veils brand to the next level. Thank you all for your love and support and hope to continue to serve my brides with the best care and service.

Your support inspires me; thank you. Let's rock 2014!!!

Engagement Outfit Fridays: Fall/Winter Perfection

I know summer brings more options for engagement shoot sessions compared to Fall and Winter but Fall/Winter sessions can also be beautiful. An engagement session on a rainy day or even a cold winters day can be as romantic as a summer session. It's all in the attitude and mood you create. I've seen campfire shoots, rainy day shoots with kisses under the umbrella...you can totally make it work.

I love layered looks for Fall and Winter; amazing coats, sweaters and  boots, what's  not to love!? For today's outfit suggestions, I chose three layered looks that are not only cozy but stylish as well. Check these out:

Theme Suggestion For The Outfit:
Here's a great example of a winter engagement session. The theme was skiing. This shoot is beautifully captured by Emily Steffen. How amazing is the shoot and the couple!? To see more of this shoot, please head on over to Emily Steffen's website

That's So Printy

There are some trends that begin in home decor or fashion that swiftly move to the wedding industry. Chevron, bold prints, and use of color-blocking are just a few we've seen recently. These trends may die out in home decor or fashion but you'll find that they'll continue in weddings for quite some time. When they cease to be popular in the fashion world, some remain to become a classic in the wedding industry.

I was recently looking through place settings and was quickly drawn to the use of bold print. I know in the past we've normally seen the classic damask print, but print has been revamped in weddings. Check these out:

Engagement Outfit Fridays: Pops of Color

It's Friday, it's Friday *singing*. I hope your week has been amazing :)?
It's hard to say goodbye to summer and the warm sunshine but there's lots to look forward to in Fall and Winter. I especially love the pretty sweaters in bright colors :)
Color is a great way to brighten one's mood and overall look. If you've scheduled your engagement session this Fall or Winter, consider a colorful sweater. Check out these three looks:

Theme Suggestion For The Outfit:
Sweaters can easily be dressed up or down so any engagement theme pretty much works when it comes to sweaters. Check out this session in the woods beautifully photographed by Shannen Norman
