Styled Shoot - Samantha Clarke Workshop

I had so much fun this past weekend working with a great team of vendors on a style creative shoot for Samantha Clarke's photography workshop. I provided a birdcage veil and the lace bandeau for the ceremony and reception look. It looked amazing!!

This is sneak peek of the shoot. The theme was 'Destination Wedding in the City'. I love how everything turned out. Please go to my Instagram to see all of the vendors included in the shoot.

Hair Jewels

Everything I make is handcrafted. It's time consuming but I love it. There's a feeling I cannot describe when I'm in that zone were it's just me and the materials -shaping them into something fills my heart with joy and purpose.

These hair jewels I made for a bride getting married on Oct. 29th were a labor of love. Daniela will definitely rock them on her big day. She's wearing the jewels with her custom birdcage blusher that I also made for her.

Flowers

Flowers. Flowers. Flowers...sigh. I'm in love with them. Tremendously. Especially this bouquet style that I've been seeing more and more frequently. The flowers seem to be dripping, oozing out of the brides hands. I'm not sure what the florist call this style of arranging but I love it!

Check out these bouquets I refer to as drimpinge 😊.

Tulle Love

So I fell in love with this dress. How beautiful is this tulle gown!? It's handmade by two lovely ladies in Ukraine. Their company is called Carousel Fashion. They make amazing dresses!

There's just something about this one that caught my eye. Maybe it's the soft powdery blue 😍.

Don't you just love it!?

Real Bride - Feature

My bride Shirin's wedding was featured on the Wedluxe Blog. I almost fainted at how beautiful her wedding was. I remember when Shirin came to see me. She was looking for a: veil, belt / sash, and a flower headpiece. I made all three for her. Her belt will forever be my favorite. It was so detailed and stunning.

Check out my bride y'all:

Fall Wedding Bouquets

I'm wearing thigh-high boots and feeling really happy as I post this blog post. It's gloomy and raining outside but, I'm all sunny on the inside.  I think boots are my favorite fashion item for fall and winter...YEP!

So, in my bubbly joy, I'm sharing some fall bouquets that I think you'll just love. Don't get me wrong, I love me a summery bouquet just like the next gal, but these Fall bouquets are really kind of up there for me too. Check these babies out:

Play Dress Up - 2016

I'm so happy to announce that I'm hosting another Play Dress Up event. Yay!!!!

This event is so much fun. I get to help brides find the perfect headpiece or veil. The bride tries on different styles without any pressure to buy. It also gets the bride that wasn't sure about wearing a veil excited at the idea of wearing a veil. If you are indecisive or unsure, trying on a veil or two will help you make a decision on whether to wear one or not. This event is also great for brides that have just ordered or received their dresses.
In the past, brides have brought in their gowns and they've been able to see which styles work best with their gowns. If you do not have your gown, you can bring a picture of your gown and I would be happy to advise you on which styles work best.

It's a very playful and fun experience. The bride can bring her friends and family and just enjoy being a brid-to-be.

If you think you'd be interested in this event, or know someone who would, here are the details

Wedding Cake - It's Personal

Wedding cakes have become more personal. We are seeing more creative custom designs and flavors. It's so exciting. Not only is it the shape or the idea of the cake that's changing, it's the flavor of the cake as well. Gone are the brandy heavy fruit cakes of the past. You've got all kinds of flavors now!

To be honest, I love how almost everything, actually EVERYTHING in, or about your wedding can be customized to suit your tastes and personality.

Check out these non-traditional wedding cakes I found:

Wedding Flower Budget

If there's one item on your wedding budget your fiance probably cannot understand or belittles, it's your flower budget. He probably doesn't understand why you have to pay so much for something that will "just die".

Well, sadly, a lot of people, other than a fellow bride-to-be, and your wedding vendors will understand the importance of having flowers at your wedding. That's okay, you're not crazy.

If your favorite flower is too expensive, consider just using your favorite flower in your bouquet, and on your table only. Choose a more affordable and complementary flower for the rest of the decor and bridesmaids. A good florist will be happy to come up with alternative options.

I could stare at flowers and pictures of flowers all day. I LOVE flowers [insert girliest shriek here].

Check out these gorgeous free flowing and loosely structured bouquets. Aren't they lovely?
