Divine Finger Foods

Bridal showers are fun. With delicious finger foods, they're even more fun! How food is plated makes a big difference on the overall experience of any event. Today, culinary art has truly become an art-work; I like to look at plated food and appreciate it like art-work by Monet or Vincent van Gogh .

When planning a catered bridal shower, choose a caterer that focuses on both taste and visual appeal. The food sets the mood and tone for the event. Always choose food that goes with your bridal shower theme. Also, remember that the food your serve must coincide with the time of the event; egg salad sandwiches will not work for every bridal shower. Plan with your caterer and come up with a budget and a menu that will complement the time and theme for your shower. If the price per piece is too pricey, instead of cutting on the quality of the food, cut your guest list to people that mean the most to you.

Sweet, sweet, decisions

Whilst planning my wedding in 2009, I spent countless hours on wedding blogs. The first site I logged on to, and the last site I logged on to, was a wedding site. I would click through hundreds of pages searching for the perfect inspiration. After I'd make up my mind on the color scheme and the cake design, I'd see something else that made me change my mind or abandon my plan altogether and start afresh! Arrgghhh...it was sweet sweet sweet frustration.

Talking about sweet, here are some lovely wedding cakes I just had to share with you for your inspiration:

Death by English prettiness

When I set my eyes on this Vintage English garden wedding inspiration shoot featured on the Hostess with the Mostess I died and floated to heaven. The different shades of pink roses and peonies contrasted with the amazing blues and off-whites...breathtaking, absolutely breathtaking! I love garden weddings done right and this my lovelies, is the inspiration on how to do it right. To see more and read about the vendors involved, click here.

Brazilian Blog Love

I have to apologize for the infrequent blog posts lately; I've been keeping busy. Busy to the point that I've had to cancel my dreams to go on a Euro-trip :(. A lot of things are in store. The casual line to be branded under a new name, and some top secret surprises to be revealed really soon to all you lovelies.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you how you don't have to speak the language to appreciate love when it's given to you. With the help of Google translation tool, I managed to  read and understand the blog post by an amazing Brazilian blog called Minha Filha Vai Casar featured Posh Veils on the blog recently.  I look forward to working with my first Central American bride :)
